Kirsty Warman | BIO < back to artists

When I paint, I use the method of chance in creating something from nothing;  the painted picture is swathed in uncertainty. There is no plan, yet there are countless possibilities. There is no preconceived idea, nor a controlled directive – in the course of the contest between the paint, the surface, and the scale in the orchestration of the ground, I am waiting for the paint to fall where it is destined - let me be very clear – I find it slightly amusing and highly confronting to command nothing.
