Dunedin born artist ALICE TOOMER produces hyper-realistic paintings featuring desserts & confectionery.  Still in her 20's, Alice has already gained a reputation for her realistic approach to lighting & perspective.

Success has already come her way - in 2010 she won 1st prize in the Otago Art Society's "Youth Art Awards".  In 2012 at her first solo show - all 14 works sold on opening.  Over the years she has been invited to feature as "guest emerging artist" at various shows around the South Island, and had her works auctioned at the Wanaka Aspiring Art Awards.  At the 2016 Awards - Alices' work sold, and won the 'Peoples Choice Award' - an award she won again in 2017.

In 2015, Alice was approached by renowned NZ artist Dick Frizzell who offered to act as a mentor and assist her as a young-and-up-and-coming NZ artist.

Alice has recently graduated from Massey University in Wellington after majoring in a Bachelor of Creative Media Production and specialising in film & video production.  She is now living in Wellington and working alongside James Cameron in his latest 'Avatar' production.
