Biography

Following a 42-year career in optometry, Mark has transitioned to a new creative discipline, immersing himself in the world of ceramics.

He is now a student in the Diploma in Art and Design program at the Otago Polytechnic, developing a body of work characterized by its vibrant colour palettes and a distinctive sense of humour. His pieces are designed to be enjoyed by the viewer, reflecting his personal philosophy of creating art that connects with people through lightheartedness and joy.
